Low Rank: Lava Caverns
For Low Rank Dragonite Ore, mine the Lava Caverns. Do not search every Low Rank map expecting the same ore.
On the normal Village route, complete the Bishaten urgent quest Monkey Wrench in Your Plans to open Village 4★. Talk to Hinoa to depart on a Lava Caverns expedition and mine there.
The Village 4★ gathering quest So Hot, It Melts Iron, which asks for 12 pieces of Coal, also takes you to the Lava Caverns. You can mine while completing it.
Find the mining outcrops
- Choose the appropriate quest rank and enter the map.
- Open the Detailed Map. On default Nintendo Switch controls, hold the minus button.
- Locate Mining Outcrop icons and gather from the outcrops.
- Check the obtained item name for Dragonite Ore, then continue to other outcrops as needed.
Mining rewards are random. Machalite Ore and Fucium Ore are different materials, so check the name rather than assuming any ore meets your recipe.
High Rank locations
In High Rank, Dragonite Ore is available from mining in all five base-game maps:
- Shrine Ruins
- Frost Islands
- Sandy Plains
- Flooded Forest
- Lava Caverns
Village star levels and Hub star levels are separate progression tracks. The Village route above does not require High Rank or Sunbreak. Jungle and Citadel are expansion maps, separate from this five-map base-game list.
