Monster Hunter Rise Event Quests Missing: Download Limits

At a glance

Four collaboration quests stopped being downloadable in the Steam 16.0.2.0 notice. Previously downloaded copies remain usable, but cannot be downloaded again.

Is the missing quest one of the removed collaborations?

Capcom’s Steam version 16.0.2.0 notice, dated January 22, 2024, names these Event Quests as no longer available to download:

Event Quest named in the notice
Gotta Hoard Fast!
Super Shady Look-alike
USJ - Shrine Showdown!
USJ - Arzuros Onslaught!

The same notice lists the downloadable Palicoes MEOW LIMIT! and Yasu. These are Buddy downloads, not two additional Event Quests.

What if you downloaded them before?

Capcom says previously downloaded content can still be used, but cannot be downloaded again after removal. That distinction matters if the content is already present on your installation.

A missing removed quest is not something a different lobby filter or another attempt at the download menu can resolve. Do not delete existing data as a troubleshooting step when your goal is to preserve previously downloaded content.

If your quest is not in that list

In the original edition, Event Quests are downloaded before being accepted at the Gathering Hub. Check the add-on download menu, then the appropriate quest list and any displayed participation requirement.

Separate a quest missing from the list from a quest that appears but cannot be joined. The latter may involve the quest’s requirements, game version or multiplayer setup; see multiplayer checks.

Platform and mobile boundaries

The named removal evidence above is the Steam announcement. Check the corresponding platform’s official notice before assuming an identical download status elsewhere.

Netflix’s mobile listing describes Event Quests unlocked through progression. It does not establish that its catalog and download menus match the original edition. Use the Netflix guide for that version’s confirmed differences.
